Central govt. is going to launch Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan across all the states from 14 April 2018 to 5 May 2018. In this initiative, all the ministers will spend at-least one night in the villages with Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) majority. This move is to please people from poor and economically backward sections especially dalits.
All the ministers will take a report card of the implementation of several welfare schemes. Along with report on implementation, these leaders will explain to people on Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Saubhagya Yojana, PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, PM Awas Yojana etc.
The primary objective of RGSA is to make people understand these schemes and take benefits which are only meant for them. Govt. will also celebrate Panchayati Raj Divas on 24 April 2018.
Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) for Dalits
This is an “On the ground” exercise to reach out to people, make interaction and get report on their user experience of various schemes. This move will cover all the rural areas having SC and ST majority population. Ministers will stay in the houses of dalits to understand their condition and ground reality of various schemes. RGSA initiative will commence on the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar (14 April 2018).
All the ministers will tell and explain people about the welfare schemes implemented by the central govt. for these deprived sections. At the central level, govt. has taken specific measures to improve their living conditions. See Complete List of Narendra Modi Schemes. The primary focus is to bring people closer to govt. which will certainly result in ‘Good Governance’.
Central govt. is consistently working to provide houses, free electricity connection, free LPG connection, health care facility and Insurance to poor and needy ones. Now, govt. is on door to door campaign in order to ensure that the benefits reaches to the last person standing in the line.
