Delhi Government is inviting Chief Minister Advocate Welfare Scheme online application / registration form at www.law.delhigovt.nic.in. The state govt. has started an online facility for eligible lawyers to avail the benefits of CM Advocates Welfare Scheme. The law department will invite online applications from lawyers from 21 March 2020. All the eligible lawyers can apply online for this scheme.
All those advocates who are practicing in Delhi, registered with Delhi Bar Council and are also in voters list of Delhi will be able to apply for CM Advocate Welfare Scheme. IT department will soon release the Chief Minister Advocate Welfare Scheme online application form on the law department’s website.
Law department is also going to interact with all bar associations of Delhi. Moreover, Delhi Law Department will also send information by SMS to registered lawyers of Delhi Bar Council. The last date to apply online for CM Advocate Welfare Scheme will be 31 March 2020.

As we have mentioned above, the start date for registration of lawyers by filling Delhi CM Advocates Welfare Scheme Apply Online Form is 21 March 2020. Delhi Chief Minister Advocate Welfare Scheme Eligibility Criteria
All the applicants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to become eligible for CM Advocate Welfare Scheme 2020:-
- Applicant must be a lawyer who is practicing in Delhi.
- He / She must be enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi.
- Applicant’s name must be present in the voters list of Delhi.
Delhi CM Advocates Welfare Scheme Benefits
All the applicant lawyers of CM Advocates Welfare Scheme would be able to avail the following benefits:- a) Group (Term) insurance providing life cover of Rs.10,00,000 per advocate. b) Group medi-claim coverage for advocates, their spouse and 2 dependent children upto 25 years of age for a family floater sum insured of Rs. 5,00,000.

About Delhi CM Advocate Welfare Scheme 2020
The state govt. of Delhi has made•a provision of Rs. 50 crore budget for lawyers under the Chief Minister Advocates’ Welfare Scheme. An e-library with 10 computers would be setup in all district courts – Tis Hazari Court, Patiala House Court, Karkardooma Court, Saket Court, Dwarka Court and Rohini Court. This e-library will comprise of e-journal, web editions and other facilities. It includes SCC Online, Delhi Law Times as well as heavy-duty printers.
Now all courts will have the facility of crèche. The Delhi Cabinet had approved this proposal on 18 December 2019 last year. The lawyers will get group life insurance, family medical claim policy along with other facilities.
Delhi CM Advocates Welfare Scheme Background
The Law Department of Delhi had held an important meeting regarding the Chief Minister’s Advocate Welfare Scheme on March 16 and discussed the benefits of the scheme. Afterwards, Delhi Law Minister Kailash Gehlot has issued a Notification to CM Advocate Welfare Scheme on 17 March 2020.
A 13-member committee of lawyers was formed on 29 November 2019 to submit its report on how to implement the welfare scheme for lawyers. The committee submitted its report to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on 12 December 2019. The committee made four major proposals in its report. It includes group insurance, medical policy, e-library and crèche in court premises.
