Central govt. has decided to transfer PM Kisan Yojana 4th Installment to only those beneficiaries having aadhaar linked bank accounts. The first 3 installments of Rs. 2,000 each were transferred to farmers under PM-KISAN income support scheme without insisting on linkage of bank accounts with Aadhar. However, the fourth installment of Pradhan Mantri Samman Nidhi Yojana to be transferred to farmers with authenticated bank account.
It will be for the 1st time that central government insists on mandatory condition of Aadhaar seeding. The release of PM Kisan Scheme funds is expected to inject Rs. 10,000 crore into economy at a time when economic growth is depressed. Accordingly, the govt. is looking for ways to revive agriculture sector especially the rural economy.
PM Kisan Yojana Installment No. 4 would be the largest disbursal of money under the scheme.
PM Kisan Yojana 4th Installment – Aadhar Linked Bank Account Must
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to benefit farmers. Under this PM Kisan Scheme, all the farmers will get Rs. 6,000 per year in 3 equal installments of Rs. 2,000 each as income support. Farmers can edit their aadhar details, check their name in beneficiary list and track application status at pmkisan.gov.in portal. From the fourth installment onward, payment would be made only to those farmers whose Aadhaar numbers have been authenticated with their bank accounts. Till date, the agriculture and farmers welfare department has authenticated more than 50 million bank accounts. The installment due between December 2019 and March 2020 is to be transferred to Aadhaar authenticated accounts.
The date and venue for transfer of PM Kisan Scheme installment has not been decided yet. But the central govt. is prepared to disburse over Rs. 10,000 crore to farmers in one day. This may boost the rural economy at a time when GDP growth has hit ten bottom. All the farmers can now utilize this amount of Rs. 6,000 per annum for purchase of farm seeds, fertilizers, farm tools or other methods of their choice to raise their productivity.
