YSR Amma Vodi Scheme in Andhra Pradesh to Start from 26 January 2020

Andhra Pradesh govt. led by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to launch AP Amma Vodi Scheme from 26 January 2020. Under this scheme, the state govt. will provide Rs. 15,000 as financial assistance to all the mothers who send their children to schools. This student welfare scheme would promote education among children and reduce the dropout rate of students.

AP Amma Vodi Yojana is a major step to encourage parents to send their children to schools. As more and more students would go to school, the higher would be literacy rate. This would result in the higher education rate of children and would enable them to lead a life of dignity and honour.

The decision to implement AP Amma Vodi Scheme was taken in the 1st cabinet meeting of Andhra Pradesh govt. headed by CM Jagan.

AP YSR Amma Vodi Scheme 2019-2020

To fulfill its pre poll promise in the YSR Navaratnalu (election manifesto), the state govt. has now decided to implement YSR Amma Vodi Scheme. The cabinet has given the green signal for implementation of Amma Vodi Scheme from 26 January next year. The cabinet has decided that all the students who are studying in private and public schools are eligible for Amma Vodi Scheme.

Starting from 26th January 2020, the cabinet has decided to distribute the cheques of Rs. 15,000 to all the mothers in the state. Amma Vodi Scheme 2019-2020 would encourage all the families with school going children. In addition to this, the state govt. has also announced to start various other schemes as given below.

YSR Navaratnalu – Other Schemes

Andhra Pradesh YSRCP govt. headed by CM Jagan has also started various other schemes for people recently which are as follows:- — YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme – This scheme for farmers in AP would launch on 15 October 2019. All the farmers to get Rs. 12,500 per annum under this investment support scheme. — YSR Arogyasri Scheme – Universal Health coverage to all lower and middle class families whose annual income is less than Rs. 5 lakh. All the expenses above Rs. 1,000 to be borne by the AP state govt. — YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme – Old Age Pension (OAP), Widow, Weavers, Toddy Tappers, Fishermen, Single women, PLHIV (Art pensions), traditional cobblers pension amount raised to Rs. 2250. Disability pension is now Rs. 3,000. CKDU / Dialysis pension raised to Rs. 10,000 and the age of old age pensioners is reduced from 65 to 60 years.
